ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ-ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਏਕਤਾ, ਅਖੰਡਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਖਤਰੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਚਕੀਲੇਪਣ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਰੁੱਖ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਸ਼ਧੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਾਡੀ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਖ ਏਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਨਿਰਸਵਾਰਥ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਲਈ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਰੋਲ ਮਾਡਲ ਹਨ।
ਐਨਐੱਸਐੱਸ ਵਾਲੰਟੀਅਰ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਵੱਲਭ ਭਾਈ ਪਟੇਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਤਮ-ਨਿਰਭਰਤਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਪਟੇਲ ਦੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਰਿਆਸਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਣਥੱਕ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਲੋੜ ਪਈ ਸਾਮ, ਦਾਮ, ਦੰਡ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਦ ਦੇ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ; ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਇਜ਼ ਠਹਿਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ।”
