ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਹੈ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਟਕਰਾਅ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੜਾਧੜ ਵੀਜ਼ੇ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸਪਾਊਜ਼ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਸੈਸਿੰਗ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

‘ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸ’ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਵਿਚ ਜਨਵਰੀ ਇੰਨਟੇਕ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਦਰ 95 ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ ਤੱਕ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿਚ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਮ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਕਿਰਾਏ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਰਕਿਨਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾਖਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਮਿਲੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਆਇਲਟਸ ਵਿਚ 5 ਜਾਂ 5 ਬੈਂਡ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵੀਜ਼ੇ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਦਕਿ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਇੰਮੀਗੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ 6 ਬੈਂਡ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਤੈਅ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੀਅਰਸਨ ਟੈਸਟ ਆਫ਼ ਇੰਗਲਿਸ਼ ਵਿਚ 52 ਤੋਂ 56 ਨੰਬਰ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਆਉਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਬਾਗੋ ਬਾਗ ਹਨ। ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੀ.ਟੀ.ਈ. ਵਿਚ ਘੱਟੋ ਘੱਟ 60 ਅੰਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਤੈਅ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
