DAVIET emerge as winner in IKG PTU Badminton Tournaments 2022 (Men and Women)

“IKG PTU Badminton Tournaments (2022)” concluded on September 16, 2022 in Lala Chanchal Dass DAVIET auditorium. The number of teams registered in the category of men was 16 and in the category of women was 13. After the knock out matches, 4 teams in the category of men and 4 teams in the category of women came forward for championship. Various officials & sportspersons from different Colleges affiliated to IKG Punjab Technical University graced the occasion by their benign presence. Mr. Sanjay Kundra, Observer, IKGPTU remained present throughout the matches.
Badminton Team (Men), DAVIET overcome stiff competition from the teams of GNDEC, Ludhiana, CGCTC, Jhanjeri, CEC, Landran and came out victorious. Similarly, Badminton Team (Women) DAVIET outshined the teams of MIMIT, Malout, CGCTC, Jhanjeri and CEC, Landran.
Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal, DAVIET highlighted the role of sports in overall development of the youth. He highlighted that it is through participation in sports that students can inculcate the much desired trait of being disciplined which is of utmost importance if they want to make it big in life. Further, he appreciated the efforts of all the participating teams. He congratulated the winners and encouraged them to continue the same efforts in every field of their life to touch the peak of success.
Mr. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon, Incharge, Sports, DAVIET appreciated the participants in flying colors. He appreciated the efforts of Mr. Parveen Kumar, Badminton Coach. Further, he thanked all the officials and sportspersons present on the occasion.
