ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ 8 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਸਾੜਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ 932 ਐਫਆਈਆਰ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ 7,405 ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 1.67 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ (19 ਨਵੰਬਰ) ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਜਨਰਲ ਆਫ਼ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਰਪਿਤ ਸ਼ੁਕਲਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਸਾੜਨ ਸਬੰਧੀ 340 ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਲਟ ਐਂਟਰੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਸਾੜਨ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਠੋਸ ਉਪਰਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦੋ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਸਾੜਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਫੀ ਕਮੀ ਆਈ ਹੈ। ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਮਵਾਰ 740 ਅਤੇ 637 ਪਰਾਲੀ ਸਾੜਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
