लवली प्रोफेशनल यूनिवर्सिटी में शुक्रवार को 51वीं केवीएस राष्ट्रीय खेलकूद प्रतियोगिता ( बालक वर्ग ) का समापन हुआ। देशभर के केंद्रीय विद्यालयों के 25 क्षेत्रों के 1253 प्रतिभागियों ने स्पोर्ट्स मीट के 5 अलग-अलग आयोजनों जैसे वॉलीबॉल, कबड्डी, बास्केटबॉल, हैंडबॉल और बॉक्सिंग में भाग लिया।
खेलकूद प्रतियोगिता के आखिरी दिन में सभी मैचों में शीर्ष सम्मान हासिल करने के लिए रोमांचक मुकाबले हुए। बास्केटबॉल और हैंडबॉल में जयपुर ने विजेता की ट्रॉफी जीती। बॉक्सिंग स्पर्द्धा में गुरुग्राम रीजन ओवरआल चैंपियन बना। वॉलीबॉल में पटना अव्वल रहा जबकि कबड्डी में आगरा क्षेत्र के खिलाड़ी विजयी रहे।
स्पोर्ट्स मीट को बंद घोषित करते हुए मुख्य अतिथि डॉ. सौरभ लखनपाल, सीनियर डीन, एलपीयू ने प्रतिभागियों को खेल भावना को अमल में लाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।
मुख्य अतिथि ने विजेताओं को पुरस्कार प्रदान किए। छात्र-छात्राओं के सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम से सभा में उपस्थित सभी दर्शक मंत्रमुग्ध हो गए। इस अवसर पर श्री टी. ब्रह्मानंदम, सहायक आयुक्त, केवीएस चंडीगढ़ क्षेत्र, क्षेत्रीय खेल प्रभारी के. एस. सांगा, संजय भसीन तकनीकी सहायक, केवीएस (मुख्यालय) श्रीकर्मबीर सिंह प्राचार्य के वी 4 जालंधर कैंट भी मौजूद थे।
