ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਕੌਸਤੁਭ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹਨ। ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ 12 ਵਜੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅਚਨਚੇਤ ਨਿਰੀਖਣ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸੀਪੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਵੀ ਲਿਆ।
ਸੀਪੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਦ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸੜਕਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ‘ਚ ਪੁਲਿਸਕਿੰਨੀ ਚੌਕਸ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਰ ਚਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਕੇ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਾਰ ਚਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਵਰਤੀ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਮੰਨ ਗਿਆ। ਪੁਲਿਸਨੇ ਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੁੱਕਾ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਡੀ ‘ਚੋਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਲੱਗੀ ਲਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਨੀਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਦੀ ਬੱਤੀ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਹੋਈ। ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਾਰ ਚਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਲਈ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ‘ਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
