ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਹਾਕੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਕਰਾਈ ਬੱਲੇ- ਬੱਲੇ, 16 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਮੈਡਲ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੁੱਕੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਡਬਲ ਧਮਾਕਾ
ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਹਾਕੀ ਟੀਮ (ਭਾਰਤ ਬਨਾਮ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ) ਨੇ ਬਰਮਿੰਘਮ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਮੰਡਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਰਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਤਮਗੇ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੂਟਆਊਟ ਵਿੱਚ 2-1 ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾਇਆ।
ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਮੰਡਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਤੀਜਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਸਾਲ 2002 ‘ਚ ਸੋਨ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਦਕਿ ਸਾਲ 2006 ‘ਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ‘ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਮੰਡਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਇਹ 41ਵਾਂ ਤਮਗਾ ਹੈ।
ਬਰਮਿੰਘਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਮੰਡਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ 10ਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੁੱਕੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਮਾਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨੀਤੂ ਘਣਘਸ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਅਮਿਤ ਪੰਘਾਲ ਨੇ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਮਹਿਲਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ 45-48 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੀਤੂ ਘਣਘਸ ਨੇ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੀ ਡੇਮੀ ਜੇਡ ਨੂੰ 5-0 ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਮਿਤ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਕੇਬਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਇਆ।
ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ 48-51 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਿਤ ਪੰਘਾਲ ਨੇ ਕੀਰਨ ਮੈਕਡੋਨਲਡ ਨੂੰ 5-0 ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾਇਆ। ਮੁੱਕੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਸੋਨ ਤਗ਼ਮਾ ਹੈ। ਅਮਿਤ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਮੰਡਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਹੈ।
