Diwali Fest-2022 was organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar, on October 20, 2022wherein students of the college participated with full enthusiasm. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Sukhi Bath, a globally recognised Philanthropist and Social Worker. Principal Dr. Navjot gave the floral welcome to the dignified guest and introduced Mr. Sukhi Bath ji to the gathering. She said that Mr. Sukhi Bath ji is an eminent personality and a social worker par excellence. He has received worldwide recognition for promoting the rich culture and heritage of Punjab in India as well as abroad. Being an epitome of benevolence, he also has actively and extensively worked for the economic upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. Principal Dr. Navjot also motivated the students to celebrate Pollution-free Diwali and instead of spending money on buying crackers, they should help the poor and the needy. Mr. Sukhi Bath ji congratulated one and all on the occasion and shared his experiences and motivated the students to believe in hard-work and determination as these qualities always help us to achieve anything in life.

The eye catching moments of the fest were the competitionslike Folk Song, Solo Dance, Group Dance. Modelling contest was the highlight of the event where the participants walked the ramp gracefully and participated in games. The very purpose of the Diwali Fest-2022 was to mark the festive season and give the opportunity to the students to exhibit their talent, to encourage their creative impulses andboost their confidence. The winners of the various items were honoured by Principal Dr. Navjot. The fest was organized byDr. Amardeep Deol, Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur, Dr. Raman Preet Kohli and Mrs. Kuldeep Kaur and the members of the Student Council of the college.

Sardarni Balbir Kaur Ji , President, Governing Council, KCL Group of institutions, sent herwishes to all the students and staff members of the college.
