ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ 4 ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਭਾਵ ਐਨਐਸਏ ਤਹਿਤ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਤਹਿਤ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਸਿਰਫ ਐਨਆਈਏ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਸੀ। ਉਪ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ 19 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਨੋਟੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ 18 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2023 ਤੱਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
