ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਦੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜੱਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੀ ਹਾਂ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਅਜੀਬ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ, ਲੱਕੜ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਤਰਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਪੰਜ ਗਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇੱਕ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਚਿਤਰਾਲ ਦੇ ਦਰੋਸ਼ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੇਠ ਗਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਤੌਸੀਫੁੱਲਾ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਲੱਕੜ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜ ਗਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਵਜੋਂ ਤਲਬ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਤਸੱਲੀਬਖਸ਼ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਗਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੇ ਸਲੀਪਰ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗਲਾਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗਧੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਗਧਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਲਈ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੀ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਗਧੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ। ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਂ ਦੋ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਗਧਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗਧੇ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰ ਸਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਮ ‘ਤੇ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੀ ਸਹੀ ਥਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਤੰਬਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਣ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ ਉਮਰ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਇਮਰਾਨ ਸ਼ਾਹ (ਚੈੱਕ ਪੋਸਟ ਗਾਰਡ) ਨੂੰ ਮੱਖਣਿਆਲ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
