ਸਿਆਸਤ ਦੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੋਹੜ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਦਾ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸਨ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇ। ਉਹ 95 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਦੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੋਹੜ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੈ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੇ ਆਈ.ਸੀ.ਯੂ. ‘ਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਸਨ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਸਾਹ ਲਏ।
ਬੀਤੇ ਸਾਲ ਜੂਨ 2022 ਵਿਚ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਦਰਦ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਤਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਪਰ ਸਤੰਬਰ 2022 ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਢਿੱਲੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੀਜੀਆਈ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਲਗਭਗ 6 ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਸ. ਬਾਦਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਖਰੀ ਚੋਣ 2022 ਵਿਚ ਲੜੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਇਹ ਚੋਣ ਲੜਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਚੋਣ ਲੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਗੂ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
